e-Library Update

Hello Everyone,

You may be aware that our e-Library has recently undergone some maintenance work and as a result we have improved the way you can access our e-resources. We have updated our authentication application to Open Athens and so this means you can access our e-resources seamlessly on campus and have better accessibility off campus.

As a result of this work you will now see a new log in screen when trying to access our e-resources off campus. The new log in box will look like this:

All you need to do is fill in your Doncaster College email address and password and click sign in.

If you have any questions or encounter any issues when access our e-resources then please report this to the Service Desk. You can do this by visitng them in the LRC, calling them on 01302 553579 or emailing them at

Many Thanks from everyone here at Doncaster College Learning Resource Centre.

Notebook Day!

According to our sources, today is the day where we can celebrate the noble notebook and collect new and inspiring ways that we can organise our work load, daily activities, spending and even life goals!

I for one can honestly say that I would be all in a muddle if I didn’t have my work and personal organisers to keep me in check everyday. Is there anything more satisfying than ticking off jobs on your to-do list? It’s a great feeling knowing that you’re getting things done!

We’ve shared some of these amazing designs and ideas on our Pinterest page here:

We’ve found some ingenious ways to make revision more helpful for you as well as ways you can organise your stationery and colour code your work.

If you have any creative tips for us on how you design your notebook then share them! We’d love to hear from you and we always enjoy sharing this knowledge with others.

A well organised notebook can be a great catalyst to a more efficient day and helps us feel better about the deadlines and goals we want to reach. It’s just another way you can be in control of

The Academic year is coming to a close and everyone’s busy with their final assignments, projects and dissertations. But what about those books you checked out of the LRC?

This is a reminder for all students graduating this year to return all LRC items either to the Hub LRC or the University Centre LRC at High Melton.

Failure to return items may affect your graduation status and your award.

So please give yourself plenty of time to return your items and make sure your LRC record is clear.

We want you to enjoy your last few weeks with us and wish all of our students success for the future!

Online Resources

We’d like to start this post by saying a massive congratulations to everyone who graduated this week – Well done!
