Things to check about the websites you find

  • e-libraryHas it been written by an expert?
  • How up to date is it?
  • Does it provide correct facts?
  • How does it compare to information on other websites? 
  • What is the aim of the website (factual, selling a product or taking a view on a debate)
  • Handy hint: record webpages details including author, date, title, publisher and web address as you go along.  You will need this for referencing later.

This gives you a quick way to find what books and e-books are available in the LRCs.  Should you need help locating books LRC staff will be happy to help.

  1. Search for all LRC books and e-books
  2. Titles have all been checked by publishers for accuracy
  3. Access to full text, searchable e-books*

Discover

A quick way to search for e-journals online.  Using Discover means you do not have to search from through the e-Library.  It is a one stop search option.

Key features:

  1. Full text searching
  2. Access to peer review e-journals
  3. Folder to save your results

How to login:

Simply use your college computer login in.  Add @student.don.ac.uk at the end of your username!
